Meet Dr. Adams

Maggie Sammons Adams, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Adams was born and raised in Huntington, WV. She is the daughter of Frederick H. Sammons, Jr., who started the orthodontic practice in 1980. Dr. Adams is a graduate of Huntington High School and attended the University of Kentucky for undergraduate school. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2008 and her Master's degree in orthodontics from West Virginia University in 2011.

Dr. Adams is the past President of the Huntington Dental Society and West Virginia Association of Orthodontists. She is a member of the Southern Association of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, West Virginia Association of Orthodontists and the Huntington Dental Society. The foundation of her treatment philosophy is based on Andrews' Six Elements of Orofacial Harmony.

Dr. Adams is active in various civic organizations, has lectured to local community groups, and regularly attends continuing education seminars. She serves as a board member for the Marshall Artist Series and has recently joined the cleft lip and palate team at Cabell Huntington Hospital as their consultant for orthodontics.

Dr. Adams is married to Jeremy Adams, a Huntington native. They have two children, Eli and Josie.
